ABOUT US

Wine Bar Gemini is the kind of place where regulars know your name and strangers become friends over a glass of wine. We're built on exceptional wine, coffee, and food - but really, we're about community, connection, and genuine hospitality. We take our craft seriously, but not ourselves.

We're looking for a Venue Manager who gets that, and wants to build something meaningful with our small, passionate team.

THE ROLE

You'll own day-to-day operations, develop our team, and drive growth initiatives. This isn't a typical management job - we need someone who can balance hands-on service leadership (because the best managers lead from the floor, not an office) with strategic operational planning.

You'll oversee: Head Chef and two Assistant Venue Managers

YOU HAVE

  • 2+ years hospitality management (wine bars, specialty coffee, or fine dining preferred)
  • Strong coffee and/or wine knowledge
  • Business acumen (P&L, margins, wage costs)
  • Analytical mindset (comfortable with data/spreadsheets)
  • Experience with rostering, payroll, operational systems
  • Proven ability to work in service, not just manage from office

Bonus: Small business ownership experience, track record developing leaders, eCommerce experience

THE SCHEDULE

Mix of day and night shifts including Saturday or Sunday every week. Flexible rostering with work-life balance respected within hospitality context.
