Location: Whitlands, Victoria
Winemaking / Farming techniques: Hand-harvested Pinot Meunier fermented indigenous/wild yeasts with moderate skin contact to build structure and aromatic complexity. A mix of whole-berry and gentle pressings; aged partially in seasoned oak and/or neutral vessels on lees to develop texture. Minimal intervention, typically unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulphur at bottling.
Style / Body: Light-to-medium bodied red; bright, savoury and textural with a silky frame.
Notes: Fresh red berries, raspberry, wild strawberry and sour cherry, with subtle pepper spice, earthy underbrush and hints of dried herbs. A mineral, slightly gravelly edge and fine tannin texture support a lively acid backbone and give the wine a long, refreshing finish.
