Foreign Friends ‘Ada’ Nebbiolo is a structured and expressive Australian take on this famously demanding Italian variety. It balances perfume and power, with lifted aromatics and firm, age-worthy structure. Nebbiolo thrives in sites that can deliver both ripeness and acidity, and Central Victoria provides that balance beautifully. This wine leans into Nebbiolo’s classic profil; florals, red fruit and tannin, but with a slightly more approachable edge thanks to careful extraction and thoughtful oak ageing.

Why you'll love me

If you love wines that evolve in the glass and reward patience, this is a compelling choice. It’s aromatic and pretty upfront, but the structure underneath gives it depth and longevity. Perfect for slow sipping or with rich, hearty food, a wine that feels serious but still inviting.

Location: King Valley, Victoria
Winemaking / Farming techniques: Hand-picked Nebbiolo, fermented with indigenous yeasts. Extended skin contact to build structure and tannin, with gentle extraction to avoid harshness. Matured in seasoned oak (large format and/or older barrels) to soften and integrate. Minimal intervention, unfined and unfiltered with restrained sulphur.
Style / Body: Medium-bodied but firmly structured; high acid, pronounced tannins, and savoury complexity.
Notes: Rose petal, red cherry and cranberry with orange peel and dried herbs. The palate is taut and structured, showing firm, chalky tannins, bright acidity and a long, savoury, slightly tarry finish.
