Why you'll love me
If you love Nebbiolo but find traditional Barolo too austere or high-maintenance, this version offers the essence of the grape; roses, red cherry, fine tannin and fresh acid, in a more approachable frame. It’s stylish, expressive, and crafted for both drinking now and short-term cellaring. Whether you’re exploring Nebbiolo from “off the beaten track” or simply want a refined red with character, Bambina nails that sweet spot.

Location: GKLR Vineyard, Mount Camel Range, Heathcote, Victoria, Australia
Winemaking / Farming Techniques: Wild-yeast fermented Nebbiolo from Heathcote, aged in large-format neutral French oak with approximately one month on skins to capture aromatic lift and build texture.
Style / Body: Light-to-medium bodied with vibrant acid and powdery tannins — a modern Nebbiolo that emphasizes purity of fruit and structure rather than heavy extraction.
Notes: Bright tart cherry and redcurrant on the nose, with hints of rose petal, orange peel and dried herbs. On the palate there's fine tannin, a savoury core of dried herb and spice, and a persistent length that stays lively and poised.
Descriptors: Tart cherry · Redcurrant · Rose petal · Orange peel · Dried herb · Sage · Powdery tannins · Lively acid · Savoury finish
Pairing Suggestions: Ideal with rich but elegant dishes like duck ragù, porcini mushroom risotto, aged pecorino, or lamb shoulder with herbs. Also works wonderfully with charcuterie and herbs, or lighter game meats.
