Why you'll love me

The Werkstatt Mount Gambier Riesling is a standout for its precision and finesse. Winemaker Bridget Mac has really captured the cool climate of Mount Gambier in this one—bright citrus, green apple, and that signature Riesling minerality. It’s got a crisp, refreshing acidity that makes it feel alive, and a touch of sweetness that balances everything out perfectly. Brudget’s focus on sustainable practices and letting the terroir speak for itself really comes through in this wine—pure, clean, and deliciously drinkable. Perfect for a sunny day or a fresh seafood dinner.

Location: Mount Gambier, South Australia

Winemaking / Farming Techniques: The fruit for this Riesling is sourced from a maritime, cool-climate vineyard in Mount Gambier, characterised by metamorphosed limestone soils. The vineyard is organically managed by viticulturists Mary and Guy Stratford. The winemaking process includes a period of maturation on lees to enhance texture and complexity.

Style/Body: Light to medium-bodied with chalky acidity and a balanced touch of residual sugar.

Notes: The nose is rich and powerful, featuring apricot and grapefruit aromas that evolve into nuances of slate, lemon curd, and fresh grass. As the wine opens, subtle white floral notes emerge. On the palate, expect flavours of nectarine, young ginger, and a hint of green apple. The finish is long and elegant, supported by a chalky acidity.
